Rakhine residents are so worried for Rohingya will be citizen easily if citizenship or not for Rohingya was interrogated by 1948 citizenship law said DawKhin Saw Wai, YaThaeTaung township, Rakhine State's parliament of Pyi Thu Hluttaw at 13th regular meeting of Pyi Thu Hluttaw.
She also said 1153 residents reported by sign for their unsatisfactory for using 1498 citizenship law and not using 1982 citizenship law for rohingya case. "Rohingya can be citizen if they interrogated with 1948 citizenship law and that means they neglect 1982 citizenship law", she said.
U Win Myint, deputy home affairs minister said deciding whether to be citizen or not for Rohingya is by the decision of central government organization in which experts Union Ministers, advocates, the responsible person of administrations, representatives of Rohingya and Rakhine residents and related township administrators.
