This rumour is confirmed true and is of medium priority – here's why:
One internally displaced person from Kyauk Phyu was killed and other injured while they were trafficked to Yangon by a lieutenant sergeant.
Daw Han Sein 65 and her grandson 13 years old Zayyar Htun who are IDPs in Kyauk Ta Lone camp in Kyauk Phyu camp left the camp together with Lieutenant Sergeant Zaw Min Oo, who is serving at Infantry Division 543 based in Kyaukphyu on 10 April.
The two IDPs were charged total of Kyat 750 000 to trafficked them to Yangon. The military personal charged Kyat 450 000 for Daw Han Sein and Kyat 300 000 for Zeyar Htun.
However, on 13 April the grandmother was found dead on highway between Ma Ei and Taunggyup and the child was found by immigration department officials from Lamu station and send him back to the IDP camp. The child is admitted to the Kyaukphyu hospital with physical injuries and mental trauma.
In Kyauk Ta Lone IDP there are total 1267 IDP from 427 households are living. The camp was open to accommodate those who were made homeless in sectarian violence in the town in 2012.
